Join Tri-State Trails for a Community Bike Ride on the Oxford Area Trails on September 19th!

Tri-State Trails, Enjoy Oxford and the City of Oxford are hosting the Regional Trail & Bikeway Committee at the Oxford Area Trails for a guided community bike ride and guided community walk!


Come explore the Oxford Area Trails and learn about its past, present and future with us!



When: Thursday, September 19th at 3 PM

Where: Talawanda High School, 5301 University Park Blvd., Oxford, Ohio 45056


There will be two trail options:


Bicycle Tour:


Jessica Green, Oxford Assistant City Manager will lead a guided bicycle tour of the entire paved portion of the Oxford Area Trail. Participants will meet at the Talawanda High School trailhead and travel along the paved portion of the bike path. From the Black Covered Bridge, cyclists will travel up Main Street to the Uptown Parks, stopping for refreshments and a rest.


From Uptown, cyclists can ride back to Talawanda or take a free shuttle back.


Requirements for this tour are that participants bring their own bicycles and helmets and that they pre-register on the Tri-State Trails website.


Distance: 7.9 total miles (without the shuttle option), 5.3 miles (with the shuttle option).


Walking Tour:


Representatives from Miami University Natural Areas will lead a guided walking from the Talawanda High School trailhead to Peffer Park.


Requirements: participants should pre-register on the Tri-State Trails website.


Distance: 1.8 miles.
