We are so excited to announce that we have been awarded a $2.7M grant from OKI for the construction of phase 5 of the Oxford Area Trail! Phase 5 will connect Talawanda High School to the Talawanda Middle School and provide a connection up to Chestnut Street at the new Butler Regional Transit Center that is under design now. It will be 2.25 miles in length.
This phase will connect together phases 3 and 4 that will be constructed simultaneously in 2022-2023. It will provide an important east-west connection between existing phases.
Once complete, users will be able to travel from Kelley Drive over to the Oxford Community Park via the trail system. We are thrilled to continue to build our multi-modal trail system in our community.
